Your Body Mechanics and Alignment in Golf
In order to play a better game of golf, it is important for the golfer to have good body mechanics and alignment. What this means is that you need to stand a certain way, you need to move your body a certain way and you need to position your arms a certain way if you want to better your chances of making contact with the ball and having it move with speed in the direction you wish it to go. Proper body mechanics and alignment for a golfer is essential to making the ball go straighter, further and in the right direction. The way in which you hit the golf ball is going to reflect in the outcome of where the ball goes after impact, and it can go either straight or out of bounds. If you are out of practice with your golf game, it may take some time to reacquaint yourself to a stance and positioning that works for you. After a little practice, you will begin to feel back at home on the golf course. It cannot be stressed enough that proper body alignment is an extremely important part of the game of golf. One wrong movement in your bodys stance and positioning could cost you an entire round of golf or even embarrass you if your ball happens to fly off into the woods or waterway. This is why it is important to use a golf driving range, which will assist your practicing and improve your game. Driving ranges are generally not expensive and going to the range to hit a bucket of balls is also a good stress reliever. As you practice at the driving range, you will observe your stance and body alignment. Try out different positions and narrow it down to the one that works best for you. Part of body mechanics and alignment includes properly positioning your feet and legs because if they are not aligned properly, your ball will not go straight. You can observe what happens to your ball when you change your leg and feet alignment, as you hit a bucket of golf balls at the driving range. This will allow you to see exactly what different positions do to your ball, and from there you can use what you learn to improve your game. See what happens during practice when you change the positioning of your shoulder alignment. When your shoulder alignment is not correct, your golf ball will not travel far nor will it travel straight. You should readjust your shoulder alignment in an effort to improve you stance and have a better connection with the golf ball. When you think about body alignment in golf, you will want to think of two important factors. One, the invisible lines in golf or where it is you want your ball to go, and two, how you will get the ball to that point. It is all about straight lines. You will then want to consider how you will position your body in order to make the ball go to that desired destination. The way in which you hit the ball with your golf club is going to create a line between your body position and the ball, and then another line will be created between the contact with the ball and where it is you are aiming.
